A contemporary space with a playful element.
Client
A Japanese womenswear brand with shops in department stores and commercial facilities nationwide, offering high-quality, sophisticated fashion for adult women.
Background
Following the Nagoya store, the client wanted another completely new store, with a design approach different from Nagoya, so that each location keeps its own character.
Client needs
A design that conveys the luxury and distinctive world of the brand, creating an impactful experience that could become a future standard for manual-style designs.
Design response
A stone with a different character from the Nagoya store creates the sense of luxury. Zoning regulations required a fixture-based layout, so impactful fixtures were essential. Accent colours are introduced in the details, and display fixtures of varying heights are combined into playful touchpoints that draw customers naturally into the store. For the counter, three-dimensional tiles on the wall add depth.
